The 23rd edition of the “Wrocławska Magnolia” competition has been launched, recognizing the best master’s theses devoted to Wrocław. Graduates of Wrocław-based universities who defended their theses in the 2024/2025 academic year are eligible to apply. Total prize pool in this year’s edition amounts to PLN 55,000.
The competition highlights outstanding theses offering reliable analyses of how the city functions and addressing key challenges facing Wrocław. Previous editions have recognized research in areas such as urban planning, environmental protection, urban mobility, new technologies, and quality of life. The initiative also strengthens cooperation between the academic community and local government by promoting research with practical potential to support the city’s development and improve the quality of life of its residents.
To participate in the competition, applications must be submitted electronically to farmacja@umw.edu.pl by 20 April 2026, including:
- the application form signed by hand or with a qualified electronic signature, as well as in an editable version (e.g., a Word file),
- the diploma (master’s) thesis in electronic form,
- the supervisor’s opinion in electronic form – either as a scanned document with the supervisor’s handwritten signature or as a document signed with a qualified electronic signature,
- a presentation of the master’s thesis on a CD, USB drive, or other data storage device, as referred to in § 8 of the Regulations.
