Friday, October 18 was a great day for graduates of medical analytics, dietetics, physiotherapy, public health and medical and dental studies. In the L. Kuczyński Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Wroclaw Medical University, they ceremoniously received their diplomas and began a new stage in their professional lives.
Prof. Piotr Dzięgiel congratulated the graduates on completing difficult studies at the best Polish university. – This is your great success and a reason to be proud – he added. He also emphasized that the university’s doors are always open to former WMU students. – You can ask us for help or advice at any time, you can also stay with us to gain academic degrees and titles – he explained.
The graduation ceremony was attended by graduates and their families, university authorities and invited guests, and the whole event was graced by a performance by the WMU Medici Cantantes Choir led by Magdalena Wojtas.
Also speaking were dr hab. Marcin Mączyński, prof. WMU, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, dr hab. Anna Kołcz, prof. WMU, dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy (on his own behalf and on behalf of the deans of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the Faculty of Health Sciences), representatives of graduates, the WMU Student Government and the Wrocław branch of the Polish Society of Dentistry Students and the Student Society of Laboratory Diagnosticians.
Graduates of all majors, in accordance with academic tradition, took oaths before receiving their diplomas. Additionally, the ceremonial graduation was an opportunity to reward those who distinguished themselves with the highest average or the best diploma work.
Additionally, Piotr Cugier, Head of the Admission and Graduate Career Path Monitoring Office of the Wroclaw Medical University, presented the Ambassador Diplomas of the Wroclaw Medical University. They were received by: Piotr Mikołajczyk (dentistry), Aleksandra Tylus and Klaudia Błażejewska (public health), Julia Skibska (physiotherapy), Klaudia Gontarz (medical analytics), Karolina Wieczorek and Agnieszka Stadnik (dietetics).
